Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience creating data sets, data modeling, and reporting.
- 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or a digital media environment.
- Experience in planning, business or marketing including structuring and implementing initiatives with business teams.
- Ability to translate business problems into solutions and functional requirements, and to establish relationships, influence, and collaborate effectively at all organizational levels and with various cross-functional technical and business partners.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.
As a Strategy and Operations Lead, you manage cross-functional projects and processes as a key contributor with limited guidance, and demonstrate ownership of smaller projects. You identify and develop go-to-market strategies (e.g. business/service models, product strategies) and launch cross-functional initiatives to address a business need. You will solve problems which have multiple potential solutions, and identify potential roadblocks and operational inefficiencies. You will demonstrate the ability to resolve ambiguous situations with clear insights and actionable recommendations. You will influence teams to align resources and direction and actively develop relationships across the product area. You will act as a subject matter expert with a thorough understanding of our business area.
The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Define, prioritize, structure and execute strategic and operational initiatives which includes developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing data, leading analyses and developing and implementing recommendations.
- Drive operating excellence for the organization, including optimizing resource allocation, measuring, reporting progress against key objectives and managing business updates or quarterly reviews.
- Deliver initiatives that are foundational elements to the Mastery team achieving its learning and business objectives (e.g., process standardization and optimization, measurement strategy, talent strategy, etc.).
- Analyze business processes to identify potential issues and uncover, prioritize levers for improvement; influence senior stakeholders to implement suggested improvements.
- Structure and package our work into compelling presentations and communications that influence various audiences including senior executives.
