Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
- 2 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
- 2 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
Preferred qualifications:
- Understanding of threat modeling, risk assessments, or security assessments of products.
- Passion for GenAI and a willingness to learn and adapt in this evolving space.
- Ability to read, understand, and analyze code as well as write small tools and scripts.
About The Job
Our Security team works to create and maintain the safest operating environment for Google's users and developers. Security Engineers work with network equipment and actively monitor our systems for attacks and intrusions. In this role, you will also work with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities.
As an AI Information Security Engineer, you will help to ensure that our AI products and systems are designed and implemented to the highest security standards. You will perform technical security assessments, code reviews and vulnerability testing to highlight risk, helping Google teams and partners to improve security, and work on a wide variety of software designs and technology stacks. You will also work closely with other Google Engineers to design and build proactive methods to enhance our security posture. In addition, you will have the option to specialize and/or perform research in a number of varying fields.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Perform technical security assessments, code audits and design reviews on AI products.
- Develop technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Advocate security and secure practices throughout Google.
- Conduct research to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities in regards to Google's products and services.
- Help design and build signals and dashboards to track measure product security risk and security posture.
