Lead UX/UI Designer – Manager Level
Location: New York, NY (Multiple locations available)
Salary Range: $144,000 – $197,200 (based on location and experience)
Overview:
We’re looking for a Lead UX/UI Designer at the manager level to join a high-impact team focused on transforming internal tools and experiences for credit and risk management teams. This role is ideal for a design leader who’s passionate about creating thoughtful, user-centered experiences, influencing product strategy, and guiding cross-functional teams through complex challenges.
What You'll Do:
Strategy & Leadership
- Lead design efforts from discovery through delivery
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business partners to align user needs with strategic goals
- Provide direction on design execution, research, and prioritization
- Advocate for human-centered design and scalable UX enhancements
- Drive clarity and alignment across shifting priorities and multiple stakeholders
Product Design & Delivery
- Lead discovery sessions to identify pain points and opportunities
- Translate insights into intuitive user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs
- Use data, research, and testing to guide design decisions
- Design for both new features and enhancements within established systems
- Contribute to and evolve design standards and internal design systems
- Present design concepts clearly to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
What We're Looking For:
Basic Qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience in UX/UI design
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cross-channel and data-intensive product design
- Strong storytelling and communication skills
- Proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with design systems and scalable design practices
- Experience leading or mentoring cross-functional design teams
