A boutique finance firm in NYC is seeking a passionate HR Generalist to undertake a wide range of human resource responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 4+ years of HR experience within financial services. Hands-on experience with benefits administration and processing payroll is a must.
Onsite 4 days per week, 1 day remote
Salary: 100k - 120k base plus bonus eligible
Hours: 8:30am-5:30pm
Duties:
- Manage recruiting process including posting jobs, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, background checks and more
- Manage the onboarding and off boarding processes, and handle new hire orientation, benefits administration and system updates
- Oversee the employee performance evaluation and termination process
- Maintain employee files, payroll records, and all other employment related records
- Manage the payroll process including processing semi-monthly payroll
- Maintain PTO request and approvals for employee's time off
- Administer and manage benefit plans, liaising with brokers and providers, managing the annual open enrollment
- Respond to general employee inquiries and questions on employment, benefits, and company policies and procedures
- Liaise with outside counsel to process employee visas and any related immigration matters
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of human resources experience, preferably in financial services
- SHRM or PHR credentials a plus
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience using Paylocity a plus
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to multitask
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and policies, industry trends and applicable federal and state laws
