The Role
The Senior Project Manager for our Envelope Assembly team ensures successful operation of the Project Management team to achieve outstanding customer fulfillment. This dual-role position serves both as a team leader and working Project Manager responsible for assisting customers and sales personnel with all facets of building envelope assembly projects. You will complete projects by organizing and controlling project elements while providing mentorship to your team.
What You'll Do
- Provide leadership and mentorship for the successful day-to-day operations of the Project Management – Envelope Assembly Team
- Support team members in finding beneficial solutions, resolving issues, and driving continuous process improvements
- Develop project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans while determining project specifications and responsibilities
- Review project estimates, quotes, and manage project costs effectively
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives and contractors to ensure project success and complete customer satisfaction
- Maintain project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems proactively
- Read specifications and drawings to provide expert recommendations for cladding and roofing systems
- Prepare comprehensive project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, specializing in Building Envelope/Cladding Assembly (preferably in roofing and/or cladding)
- Post-secondary degree in engineering, building and construction, or architecture preferred
- Prior management experience preferred
