Job Title: Scrum Master

This role is central to promoting Agile values, fostering a culture of collaboration, and enabling teams to deliver exceptional products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion Agile/Scrum best practices to consistently deliver value to customers.
- Coach teams and the broader organization on Agile values and principles to increase agility and self-organization.
- Guide the team in navigating the intentional gaps within the Scrum framework, enabling them to operate autonomously.
- Assess team Agile maturity and coach toward higher performance at a sustainable pace.
- Identify and remove impediments, or help the team find the right resources to do so.
- Create a safe and trusting environment where open communication and problem-solving thrive.
- Facilitate team ceremonies and ensure work gets done through collaboration—not coercion or top-down direction.
- Support effective communication both within the team and with external stakeholders to improve transparency and alignment.
- Assist Product Owners with backlog refinement, prioritization, and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead by example through servant leadership, fostering continuous improvement and empowerment.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience serving as a Scrum Master on a software development team that actively applied Scrum principles and practices.
- Strong foundation in servant leadership, facilitation, coaching, situational awareness, conflict resolution, and increasing team transparency.
- Familiarity with various Scrum implementation techniques (e.g., different Burndown formats, Retrospective styles, bug-handling strategies).
- Knowledge of complementary Agile frameworks and methodologies (e.g., XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD).
- Experience with Agile development practices such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pair Programming, and Agile Games.
- Understanding of the technologies leveraged by development teams, with the ability to bridge gaps between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
