Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities through effective maintenance management. This position requires strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of industrial maintenance practices. The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. This position is for a hands-on Engineering, Maintenance, & Reliability Leader.
Duties
- Maintaining an effective maintenance management system and repair parts inventory control system through PMC.
- The installation and repair of all machinery / equipment.
- Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance tasks to ensure regular inspections, lubrications, and calibrations are performed according to the maintenance plan.
- Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance requests and align schedules with operational needs.
- Plan and schedule equipment repairs and maintenance shutdowns, coordinating with the production team to minimize production disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment history.
- Utilize tools such as voltmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues and ensure proper functioning of HVAC systems.
- Generate and manage work orders for maintenance activities, ensuring accurate documentation of maintenance tasks, materials used, and labor hours.
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians to ensure work orders are completed within scheduled timelines.
- Maintain a record of completed work orders, including details of maintenance activities performed, materials used, and maintenance costs.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to implement condition-based monitoring programs to identify and address equipment performance issues proactively.
- Monitor equipment performance data, to identify potential maintenance needs or optimization opportunities.
- Assist in analyzing equipment performance data and recommend maintenance strategies or modifications to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Participate in maintenance strategy development, collaborating with the maintenance team and management to identify improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the implementation of maintenance best practices, standard operating procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Providing technical recommendations and implementations for continuous improvement in plant production
- Assist in evaluating and implementing new technologies or tools that can enhance maintenance planning and coordination processes.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication within the team and across departments.
- Experience in PMC systems is preferred, along with a strong background in industrial maintenance.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Technical Discipline).
- Proven experience in facilities management, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Must have experience supporting and leading Lean manufacturing activities.
- Analytical skills and understanding of problem-solving techniques/tools.
- Data-driven, disciplined, objective and detail oriented.
- Strong communication skills. Demonstrated ability to act as a business partner, “see the big picture,” and work through ambiguity and change.
- Advanced computer knowledge with MS Office applications (Excel, Access, etc.) and other computer tools
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $29.00 per hour
