THE IMPACT YOU WILL HAVE:
The Marketing Manager, Wellness, will be responsible for creating and executing initiatives and campaigns across the Wellness business at Ulta Beauty. This role is ideal for a growing leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, interesting in playing a critical role in driving marketing activities for strong business impact.
The Marketing Manager will be accountable for delivering strong, results-driving strategy, messaging and activation across omnichannel efforts that fuel strong brand launches, accelerate growth for current brand partners, and supercharge success for emerging brands. In addition, this role will play a critical part of building, launching and maintaining the overall Wellness brand identity; and will play a key role in determining the overall launch strategy across geographies and channels. The ideal candidate will have a brand marketing background, be detail oriented, proficient at critical thinking and collaborating, all while possessing a passion for beauty and an aptitude for retail.
This role will need to be comfortable with ambiguity, and able to frame approaches to decipher the way forward and deliver recommendations to address key business issues. Finally, this role needs to work in partnership across the broader organization, and therefore, collaboration is paramount.
The Marketing Manager will report to the Vice President Wellness, Commercial Lead within the Enterprise Strategy & New Growth organization. The role will partner closely with peers in both the Wellness and marketing teams, along with other key peers and leaders across the business. This role will have visibility to senior leadership across functions.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the development and execution of omni-channel marketing campaigns and initiatives including brief development, messaging approach and go-to-market plans for Wellness
Be an indispensable partner to the brand partners and the Wellness merchandising team as you develop and bring to life campaigns that deliver against business objectives
Collaborate closely with the broader Marketing organization including: customer growth marketing, consumer insights, media, creative, merchandising, and other key stakeholder groups to ensure execution of marketing plans/strategies is data driven, clear and cohesive
Analyze performance and learnings from previous campaigns to inform future strategies and execution
Collaborate with peers to manage brand production budget; coordinate with paid media and social budget owners to ensure cohesive planning process and view
Support and lead execution of brand identity work in close partnership with internal and external players; including preparing the go-to-market plans and campaigns for launch
Maintain knowledge of key retail and industry happenings, consumer and cultural insights, internal operation processes and competitive landscape
Cultivate a collaborative work environment. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure coordination and cohesive strategies
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- 6+ years brand marketing experience; consumer facing marketing experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related fields; MBA or MA preferred
- Demonstrated success leading 360 integrated campaigns across the consumer marketing funnel that delivered measurable business results
- A big picture strategic thinker with the ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data/insights into marketing strategies, as well as an organized "doer," with a data-driven mentality and a bias towards action
- Demonstrated creativity and creative management, including collaborating with a creative team and/or agency partners
- Successful track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams on strategy development and execution with ability to lead through influence to gain buy-in from stakeholders
- Strong communication/presentation skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable interacting with all levels within the organization
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to turn ambiguity into action
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment and highly skilled in prioritization with a strong attention to detail
- High emotional intelligence and ability to style-flex your approach based on the needs of the internal and external stakeholders
