Junior Project Manager
Location: Waukegan or Downtown Chicago, IL
Rate: $25-50/hr W2
Contract: initially 6 months, likely to extend
We are looking at a start of mid-June for this role.
Our client is looking for a junior to mid-level Project Manager to support a long-term MES initiative tied to their Mexico operations. This role is a great fit for someone who’s organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. MES experience isn’t required—they’re willing to train the right person.
Key Highlights:
- Support the rollout of Rockwell FTPC as part of a multi-site MES deployment
- Act as a liaison between manufacturing plant teams and technical teams
- Track project milestones, manage documentation, and help drive accountability across stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with plant managers, operators, and business teams—not a traditional IT-only PM role
Ideal Candidate Will:
- Bring 3–5 years of professional experience, ideally in project coordination or project management
- Be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, including being on the plant floor
- Have no prior MES experience? No problem. Just bring a willingness to learn and contribute
- Be highly organized, communicative, and self-driven
- Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with lots of moving parts
