Kindle Energy LLC (“Kindle”) specializes in the management, optimization, and development of power generation in the United States and Canada and is a portfolio company of Blackstone Group Inc. Blackstone is a leading global alternative asset manager with $1 trillion of total assets under management. Kindle manages 8.7 GW of generation in Ohio, Indiana, Texas, and Louisiana, with a 700 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine project in Louisiana and a 164 MW Simple Cycle Combustion Turbine project in Colorado, both currently under construction.
Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst will report to the Director of Finance and be based at Kindle Energy headquarters in Princeton, New Jersey. This will be a junior/entry-level role supporting senior Financial Analysts/Managers and the variety of activities that the Finance team supports.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial plans, operating forecasts, acquisition activity, and cost reporting for projects in development/construction
- Analyze past operational results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
- Perform financial analyses, project evaluations, and due diligence to support recommendations for plant optimization, recovery plans, major projects and capital investments, and revenue enhancement proposals
- Analyze the key market components that may impact the value of Kindle Energy managed assets
- Work closely with the commercial team, accounting, and various technical teams and advisors to prepare and review detailed forecasts of income statements, cash flows and balance sheets
- Assist in the evaluation of a variety of strategic business and financial decisions and preparation of recommendations for Kindle Energy management
- Conduct economic research as required with respect to power and natural gas energy markets
- Prepare board-quality presentations and documentation
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and create reports as needed
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting and/or Finance
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel

- Must be self-motivated
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid work schedule – Tuesday through Thursday in-office, Monday & Friday remote work
- Limited domestic travel is required
