Are you a consumer-focused digital marketer with strong project management skills? Do you enjoy developing strategic communication and marketing campaigns to influence consumer behavior and drive revenue? If so, this opportunity is for you. This position will focus on developing marketing campaigns, primarily through direct-to-consumer channels such as email and paid advertising, to increase sales, lead acquisitions, customer retention, and overall ROI across all organizational products and programs.
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded leader with both creative and analytical skillsets. They have a natural eye for design and creative vision, while understanding audience segmentation, product marketing, and basic sales strategies and reporting. Success in this role requires heavy attention to detail and a solutions-oriented mindset, as well as strong organization, copywriting, and project management skills. This role will report to the Director of Marketing Operations & Advertising.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the weekly digital communications and marketing calendar for the organization’s direct-to-consumer channels (SMS, app, website, paid advertising, arena, and broadcast)
- Collaborate cross-functionally (with sales, service, partnerships, youth basketball, content, community engagement, etc.) to support campaign requests and provide strategic marketing solutions
- Lead end-to-end campaign execution, including ideation, creative requests, copywriting, audience segmentation, channel distribution planning, timelines, and reporting
- Review and approve all direct-to-consumer communications to ensure copywriting, creative elements, target audiences, message formatting, style and tone align with the organization’s brand guidelines
- Hire, train, and manage a coordinator to support campaign execution across email, SMS, app, and advertising channels
- Submit requests for graphics, video, and website assets used for direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns
- Manage the operations of multi-channel marketing and communication automations with support from Director and the Business Intelligence team
- Support growth marketing initiatives intended to increase engagement, sales, lead acquisitions, buyer retention, purchase frequencies, and return on ad spend.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and special projects assigned by the Vice President of Business Strategy & Operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related experience
- Minimum of 3 years of consumer/product marketing and digital advertising experience is preferred
- Demonstrated success in executing marketing campaigns that drive sales, build customer loyalty, and generate strong ROI
- Knowledge of performance marketing channels such as Facebook/Instagram Ads, X Ads, Google Ads, SEM, email, SMS, and website is preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced writing and communication skills including written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal
- Proven ability to lead and complete complex projects from start to finish
- Strong sense for creative design and adherence to brand guidelines
- Excellent project management, organization, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Proficient understanding of both the creative and data-driven elements of a marketing campaign
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays, as needed
