We currently operate 11 restaurants in the Boston area, a Commissary Kitchen in Cambridge, and a local catering and Meal-Box delivery program.
We're looking for a Supply Chain and Warehouse Lead who will work within our Commissary Kitchen (which is the heart of our operation). You will be responsible for supply chain and production support, warehouse and logistics coordination, and administration support for a multi-vertical facility. This is a full-time salaried position reporting to the SVP of Food Systems and Wholesale.
This is an on-site role located at 1075 Cambridge Street Cambridge, MA 02139. Interested in local candidates only who have the ability to commute to the Boston/Cambridge area.
DUTIES
As a Supply Chain and Warehouse Lead your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Administrative Support (10%)
- Attend weekly menu planning meetings to coordinate menu transitions and marketing activities with stakeholders from around the company.
- Coordinate process around new product launches this includes email communications, updating order guides, and maintenance of database systems
- Review and approve invoices for commissary; work with finance to investigate and expedite payments/reconciliation of invoices
Supply Chain and Production Support (45%)
- Plan production based on needs of all three business verticals
- Work cross functionally with production teams to support each day part
- Ensure raw materials are in place prior to the start of production shifts according to the production plan.
- Maintain relationships with all vendors and farmers.
- Manage purchasing of raw materials and packaging supplies
Warehouse and Logistics Coordination (45%)
- Receive product according to companies food safety policies.
- Maintain blocking and facing, slotting and par levels of all raw and VAP products
- Maintain cleanliness standards in the warehouse
- Support inventory management and ensure materials are available for production
- Help organize stock and maintain an efficient warehouse workflow
- Responsible for end of month inventory with the team and accuracy of the inventory in the warehouse
Requirements
A Supply Chain and Warehouse Lead must have:
- 1-3 years experience in supply chain, warehouse management, operations, or similar role
- Experience in Margin Edge or similar integrated ERP with order management, inventory, and purchasing systems
- Forklift certification or the ability to be certified within one month of employment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detailed orientated with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- A passion for food, a positive attitude and a willingness to work to high standards
- Comfortable working in a physically active environment and handling warehouse equipment and materials
- Able to stand for prolonged periods of time, and repeated walking, bending, stretching and occasional lifting (up to 50lbs), with or without reasonable accommodation
