Job Title: Paralegal
Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid)
Length of Assignment: 3-month Contract
Our client, an industry leading music and entertainment giant, is seeking a Paralegal I to join their internal legal team to help support and promote the world’s greatest artists! This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the success of a dynamic legal team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on artist agreements to facilitate catalog exploitation for reissues by internal teams or third parties.
- Investigate catalog rights to unlock ancillary rights and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Maintain and organize legal files, including relevant correspondence, in a computer-based licensing system.
- Assist with company-wide and department-specific projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience working with and interpreting artist contracts.
- Entertainment/Music industry experience preferred.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
