We are seeking a Logistics Project Manager to lead end-to-end project execution, optimize supply chain processes, and drive operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset to logistics operations, ensuring smooth execution of transportation, fulfillment, inventory, and procurement activities while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full project lifecycle, including onboarding, planning, execution, budgeting, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain documentation, processes, and reports to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.
- Manage and prioritize daily activities, workload distribution, and billing while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Lead and motivate team members to achieve project milestones, optimize workflows, and meet key objectives.
- Collaborate closely with warehouse and operations teams to align project goals and improve coordination.
- Analyze financial metrics, forecast logistics costs, and present reports on project performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Streamline routing, carrier relations, distribution, and fulfillment to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Drive vendor and supplier negotiations to enhance delivery timelines and control expenses.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking and resolution of discrepancies.
- Proactively mitigate risks and problem-solve to support both client and business objectives.
- Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance operational performance.
- Facilitate internal and external project meetings, aligning stakeholders on logistics strategies and execution plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics project management, with a proven track record of leading end-to-end projects.
- Supervisory and leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
- Expertise in TMS/WMS systems, with hands-on experience in logistics operations, carrier negotiations, and strategic routing within a 3PL environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis), PowerPoint (executive-level presentations).
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in cost forecasting, budget management, contract negotiations, and margin optimization.
- Process improvement mindset, with the ability to analyze complex logistics challenges and implement strategic, data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams, influence decision-making, and drive results.
- Proven ability to identify risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure seamless logistics execution while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement.
