Pretsl is searching for an Implementation Specialist, who would be responsible for providing on-site and remote support to restaurants in the Minneapolis- St Paul Area. This is a field based role with 50% of the role being on-site at local restaurants.
Pretsl provides on-demand IT & Digital Services to restaurants who use cloud based POS systems like Toast POS. The Implementation Specialist would be working primarily with Toast POS, and other similar point of sale systems.
Job Responsibilities
Onsite Implementation & Support
We work with restaurants we serve in the Minneapolis- St Paul area, providing on-site technical support. Responsibilities would include:
- Providing ongoing onsite POS support to restaurants we serve
- Installing & configuring new Toast hardware including terminals, handhelds, printers, and other peripherals for restaurants that contract with us.
- Conducting Site Surveys to ensure restaurants understand the physical and network requirements before installation of Toast POS.
- Training restaurant owners, managers, FOH & BOH teams on leveraging Toast to accomplish their specific needs of the Toast platform.
- Diagnosing POS issues and determining the most cost effective resolution
Remote Consultations & Support
We provide remote technical support to restaurants in the Twin Cities, and beyond. Responsibilities would include:
- Providing ongoing remote POS support to restaurants we serve
- Providing analysis, feedback and recommendations on how how to best optimize hardware/ networking setups to restaurant owners & managers
- Building out plans with restaurant owners to tackle some of their biggest technology/ IT related challenges
Project Management
- Managing timelines and deliverables for installation and other technology projects
- Coordinating with other vendors, such as facility managers to ensure installation projects are delivered in a timely manner
Preferred Skills/ Ideal Candidate
- Restaurant experience is a bonus, especially as a manager, bartender, or server
- Operating knowledge of Toast POS or any other similar restaurant POS systems like SpotOn, Square or Clover is a bonus
- Any experience in a field technician role is also a bonus
- Tech savvy and able to learn quickly
- You love solving problems for businesses'/ restaurant owners
- Must have a car and a valid driver's license since the job includes a lot of travel in the local area
Compensation & Hours
This job is a 1099 contractor role, all travel is compensated. Pay is competitive and negotiable.
Work hours are flexible; we are looking to start at 15-20 hours weekly and hopefully grow to a more full time role. The hours and schedule would be agreed upon based on the availability of the right candidate.
