Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming CNC machines, specifically Haas and Tsugami, and will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs to meet production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for Haas and Tsugami machines.
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to determine tooling requirements and machining processes.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring quality and precision.
- Conduct initial runs and make necessary adjustments to programs and tooling.
- Troubleshoot and resolve programming and machining issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with engineers and machinists to improve machining processes and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation of programs and production records.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Train and mentor junior programmers and machinists as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in machining technology or related field preferred.
- Proven experience programming CNC machines, specifically Haas and Tsugami.
- Proficiency in G-code and CAD/CAM software.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with multi-axis CNC programming.
- Familiarity with tool path simulation software.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
