Position:
The Temporary Press Operator is responsible for maintaining quality and safety of products by operating a variety of equipment to manufacture finished goods. Press Operators work in a production setting and are responsible for monitoring quality and performing routine maintenance on equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to read and follow production plans to ensure that specifications are met. The Press Operator will also be responsible for ensuring that all required parts are properly installed on machinery and that all necessary paperwork is completed before the start of production.
Essential Duties:
- Read and understand production plans and work instructions.
- Perform quality control checks on finished goods to ensure quality.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Understands the manufacturing process and how it relates to quality control checks.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Follows good manufacturing practice (GMP) to ensure high quality products are produced.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience with Comco, Aquaflex, or Mark Andy printing presses highly preferred.
- Any experience with press printing company a plus
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds at one time (with assistance).
- Able to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to loud noise.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
