The Supply Chain Supervisor oversees and coordinates supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. They manage inventory levels, optimize logistics, and collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to streamline procurement, distribution, and delivery processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Supply Chain Management: Develop and implement logistics strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs across North America.
- Transportation Coordination: Oversee freight, shipping, and delivery schedules to ensure timely movement of goods.
- Warehousing & Distribution: Manage warehouse operations, inventory levels, and order fulfillment to meet business demands.
- Import & Export Operations: Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and oversee documentation, customs clearance, and coordination with customs brokers to facilitate seamless cross-border trade.
- Vendor & Carrier Relations: Manage contracts with logistics providers, transportation service providers, carriers, and other related suppliers to improve service quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Compliance & Regulations: Ensure adherence to all transportation, safety, and customs regulations in North America.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement best practices to enhance logistics performance, reduce lead times, and minimize disruptions to the supply chain.
- Technology & Reporting: Utilize logistics software and data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, sales, and operations teams to align logistics with business objectives.
- Budget Management: Control logistics costs and drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising service levels.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 5 - 8 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management.
- 5+ years of logistics management experience.
- Strong knowledge of North American transportation networks, import/export regulations, and customs processes.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and ERP software. Ideally SAP
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams and external partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills and a strategic mindset.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
