About The Role:
A boundary-pushing, interdisciplinary design studio, celebrated for its visionary work in both interiors and architecture, is seeking a Design Assistant to join its dynamic New York City office. Renowned for fusing bold creative direction with precise execution, the studio has garnered recognition from major cultural institutions and leading design publications for its avant-garde portfolio spanning residential, hospitality, and experiential design.
This role is perfect for a highly organized, detail-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced, creatively charged environment. In this hands-on, multifaceted role, you’ll support the Interior Design Director and collaborate closely with project leads, contributing to the full life cycle of projects, from initial concept through final installation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with design leads to ensure seamless execution from concept through completion
- Manage procurement logistics, including drafting proposals, issuing purchase orders, and tracking orders through delivery and installation
- Liaise with vendors, artisans, and fabricators to gather samples, quotes, and lead times
- Assist in sourcing FF&E and material selections tailored to each project’s creative direction
- Prepare client presentations and maintain meticulous records of schedules, specs, and budgets
- Support design documentation with AutoCAD drafting, elevations, custom furniture drawings, and FF&E schedules
- Coordinate job site visits, installations, and meetings with contractors, clients, and vendors
- Organize physical materials library, samples, and related project documentation
Key Skills/Requirements:
- Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related design field
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Google Workspace
- Experience with Studio Designer and/or SketchUp (preferred)
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- A proactive mindset, with a willingness to problem-solve and pitch in wherever needed
- A passion for design and curiosity for working across a variety of creative disciplines
