Warehouse Manager at Silver Lining Design Group
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to oversee employees, logistics, execution, and overall success of our events. The ideal candidate will have logistics expertise, and will be responsible for coordinating vendors, supervising staff, and ensuring all events run smoothly. This role requires strong organizational skills, exceptional work ethic and leadership abilities, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have prior management experience, ideally in live events, theatre, interior design, or other fabrication fields.

• Start Date: April/May 2025
• Location: Must be local to the DMV area. Our office is moving to Silver Spring, MD.
• Schedule: Full-time, salaried position; normal hours are from 9 AM - 5 PM, with extended hours during the busy season.
• Language Skills: Fluent in Spanish would be ideal.
• Work Conditions: Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Travel: Will be required as needed for events. Events may include but are not limited to the DMV area, North America, Europe, Central America, and Asia. Will be required to have a US passport.
Job Responsibilities include:
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the event planning firm.
• Strong logistical planning skills, including monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies, and managing warehouse operations to ensure organization and timely availability of event materials.
• Prepare and present operational reports to CEO and management.
• Provide support for administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and ensuring proper record-keeping.
• Highly organized, with the ability to multitask, be thorough, meet multiple deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and act accordingly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Recruit, train, and manage event staff, hourly employees, and temporary workers to achieve maximum productivity.
• Provide on-site supervision, leadership and problem-solving support during events.
• Experience running a warehouse with efficient organization and inventory management.

Event Planning & Execution
• Communicate with clients and/or vendors as needed via email, phone, and in-person meetings to support the event manager and gather event-specific requirements.
• Develop and manage detailed event timelines, schedules, and production plans, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.
• Produce packing lists for confirmed events and ensure accuracy before dispatching.
• Assist in Hestia Harlow orders.
Budget Management
• Assist in sourcing materials, provide competitive rate comparisons among vendors, and make recommendations to minimize spending and optimize profitability.
• Manage ordering of products for events or local sourcing, ensuring fair pricing, quality, timely delivery, and proper handling of returns if necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date Profit and Loss sheets for finalized events, tracking purchases, crew hours, and warehouse hours.
• Coordinate directly with vendors and manage pickups and returns from the warehouse to avoid late fees or missing items.
Logistics Coordination
• Manage crew scheduling for event setups and breakdowns, ensuring full coverage and preparing crew members with all necessary event details.
• Act as or assign a qualified on-site Event Lead to supervise setup, build all stage sets and decor according to renderings and floor plans, and provide creative solutions if issues arise.
• Ensure quality standards of all decor and custom pieces prior to dispatch, and verify condition upon return from events.
• Request Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for events.
• Ensure all venue and vendor forms are properly submitted and completed.
Quality Control and Safety
• Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of event delivery.
• Identify potential risks during planning and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
• Hold crew members accountable for adhering to company policies, reporting any issues to the CEO as needed.
• Assign staff to monitor truck and van maintenance, including DEF, gas, and any other pertinent information.
