Salary Range: $110,000 - $145,000
Summary of Position:
The project managers job is to oversee and manage their assigned projects from conception to close out and completion. For each assigned project, the project manager is directly involved from the bid phase through closeout and maintains knowledge of all technical, administrative, and financial aspects of each project. Many projects are on a fast-track schedule and are completed in occupied spaces. This position, through close partnership with clients and subcontractors, has a central role in ensuring high quality work as well as on-time and on-budget completion of projects. The Project Manager assumes accountability for the leadership of a project and collaboration of all individuals involved.
Primary Responsibilities:
- As a client’s point of contact on assigned projects, performs a variety of duties such as:
- Support project estimating team during pre-construction
- Project financial tracking and invoicing
- Project scheduling
- Subcontractor selections and negotiations
- Change order and Purchase order issuance, tracking, and negotiations
- Weekly updates, submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes
- Coordinates daily goals and project deadlines with superintendents to ensure timely completion of projects
- Manages field resource allocation and verifies time tracking for payroll processing
- Partners with project team and superintendents to coordinate deliveries, troubleshoot issues that may arise during a project and ensure compliance with jobsite safety standards
- Ensures a safe work-environment through regular safety meetings, toolbox talks and regular safety assessments
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Facilitation and communication in a multidisciplinary environment
- All blueprints and drawings relevant to construction projects
- Computer programs such as Microsoft Excel and Project, AIA Contract Documents, etc.
Skill/Ability to:
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, supervisors, subordinates, and other employees
- Take a leadership role in overseeing all assigned projects
- Give and receive positive direction, support, and advice
- Demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication
