Job Overview
The PAC Group is seeking a
Logistics Manager to lead and manage logistics operations across complex, fast-paced project environments supporting advanced technology installations. This role requires a results-driven leader with deep experience in materials handling, transportation coordination, inventory control, and cross-functional team management.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience overseeing supply chain workflows, scheduling inbound/outbound shipments, managing third-party vendors, and ensuring materials are delivered to job sites on time and within budget. A strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and operational planning is required.
This role offers competitive compensation and requires up to 75% travel to client project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all logistics operations for technical installation projects at various customer facilities.
- Oversee the movement, storage, and distribution of materials, ensuring timely delivery and full alignment with project schedules.
- Manage receiving, inventory control, shipping logistics, and material handling functions.
- Coordinate with internal project managers, external suppliers, and on-site teams to support project execution.
- Enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT, etc.) across all logistics activities.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics efficiency, cost, and inventory accuracy.
- Develop and maintain project-specific logistics plans, timelines, and communication flows.
- Supervise and direct logistics personnel, drivers, and contractors to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Optimize transportation and freight strategies to reduce costs and improve delivery performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation and logs for shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience managing logistics operations, preferably within industrial, construction, or high-tech environments.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing, materials management, transportation coordination, and supply chain principles.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and logistics tracking tools.
- OSHA and DOT safety compliance experience required.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership capabilities and team management experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% to client sites across the U.S.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting logistics for large-scale automation or robotics deployments.
- Familiarity with Amazon site operations or similar highly automated warehouse environments.
- Lean logistics or Six Sigma certification a plus.
