Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Candidate must possess general clerical skills and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Strong collaborative skills
- Experience effectively working in a team environment
Specific Responsibilities
- Attends to ill and/or injured students in the absence of the School Nurse.
- Supervises the students’ self-administration of medication per District policy.
- Responsible for maintaining attendance records.
- Supports and contributes to a healthy, safe and sanitary education environment.
- Contributes to the organization and maintenance of up-to-date student health files and related records.
- Ensures ongoing communication regarding students’ health conditions among parents, students, medical professionals, teachers, administrators and other health personnel.
- Completes reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provides assistance in the school office.
- Maintains a positive attitude toward job related growth and development.
- Communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people.
- Recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
- Develops and maintains positive relations with students, staff and community.
- Performs manual tasks that support the educational program and the operations of the schools.
- Must possess ability to understand and work well with children and communicate well with people.
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisors or Superintendent.
