Job Scope:
Supervise Logistics and Inventory departments. Assign daily workload based on skill set of resources, priorities and customer requirements. Directly responsible for managing shipping and receiving team (Logistics). Ensure accurate, timely and cost – effective shipment and receipt of equipment and other material. Ensure compliance with all regulations for import and export of equipment and handling of hazardous goods. Responsible for organization of Inventory room, including managing levels in inventory room. Provides coaching, mentoring and development to all assigned team members, encouraging the acquisition of additional skills, knowledge and experience. Liaise with customer and all internal departments to deliver the highest customer service and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day to day management, organization and supervision of Logistics and Inventory team. This includes quality check of all their work, on the job training (technical, process and customer service) and ensuring adherence to all deadlines and company procedures
- Update Training procedures as new equipment is brought into Panavision’s inventory and provide Training and demonstrations on new equipment to all employees. Create a Training schedule for Logistics Clerks to track the progress of the training
- Manage levels in inventory room, providing Minimum and Maximum of equipment. Shortages and surpluses to be reported in a timely manner to VP Ops and Rental Manager
- Oversee input and removal of gear, including disposal of obsolete gear
- Will be responsible for annual stock count and main point of contact to Global Inventory team and Finance
- Will collaborate with Prep Manager and Service Managers to help reassign personnel to assist other departments when needed
- Interview and coordinate intern program for office. Assign interns to certain departments if applicable. Identify potential candidates for employment (freelance or full time)
- Ensure accurate, timely receipt of all equipment returned to Panavision, including update of all applicable system information. Communicate and addressing missing and damaged equipment in a timely manner
- Prepare and ensure completeness and accuracy of all paperwork required for proper shipment, import or export of equipment, including handling of hazardous/dangerous goods. Work with internal staff, production personnel and shipping companies to meet deadlines in the most cost effective manner
- Conduct annual performance reviews for all staff. Define training objectives for staff. Manage and report on status of training for staff
- Regularly review services and products offered by 3rd party vendors to ensure best cost and service. Negotiate new terms if needed. Recommend new processes or purchases when needed
- Additional duties as assigned
Skills/Experience Required:
- Working knowledge of specifications and applications of equipment housed at Panavision NY, including operation, service, and repair procedures
- Proven people management and coaching skills
- Demonstrate leadership and diplomacy abilities
- Self-Starter with outstanding interpersonal and oral communications kills
- Self-Motivate, enthusiastic, able to work on own initiative
- Dynamic team player and team builder. Encourages self-direction amongst team members and provides guidance and clear direction as required
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Solid working knowledge of Panavision’s equipment, inventory and rental process
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to facilitate communication between departments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain flexible toward change
- Ability to work under pressure with strict time constraints and maintain high performance standards and output
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Salary Range:
$70,000 per year to $75,000 per year
