About the Role - As a Human Resources and Talent Associate, you will provide direct support to the dynamic HR and Talent operations of CHN. You’ll play a key role in driving seamless payroll and benefits administration, optimizing HRIS systems, ensuring compliance, and supporting talent acquisition efforts—all while delivering exceptional service to employees, vendors, and partners to help CHN thrive and grow!
Responsibilities
What you will be doing in the role:
- HR Operations & Compliance- maintaining and updating employee records in the HRIS, ensuring I-9 compliance, conducting audits, handling HRIS issues, and assisting with HR policy and process development. Additionally, you will be managing monthly and annual HRIS activities, including compliance reporting and self-service support.
- Payroll & Benefits Administration- assisting with payroll processing, including timecard management and payroll adjustments, and serving as the first point of contact for benefits-related inquiries. Managing benefits enrollment, supporting leave of absence processes, assisting with 401(k) plan administration, and administering unemployment compensation. Additionally, you will be developing and maintaining the payroll and mileage schedule.
- Talent Acquisition- assisting with job requisition creation, posting, and applicant tracking system (ATS) maintenance. screening resumes, conducting initial phone or video interviews, and scheduling interviews between candidates and hiring managers. Additionally, you will be maintaining candidate records in the ATS and facilitating the pre-employment process, including coordinating background checks and drug screens.
- Training Support- assisting with maintaining and updating the training calendar, monitoring compliance training completion, scheduling facilitators/instructors, and processing instructor payments. You will be managing the Learning Management System (LMS), troubleshooting user issues, and ensuring training records are up to date. Additionally, you will be managing the Tech Cred program.
- Administrative Support- maintaining accurate records of HR department expenses, including managing credit card receipts. You will be managing vendor relationships related to HR systems and services, tracking and reporting HR and Talent analytics to support decision-making, and providing project support to the HR and Talent team as needed.
Qualifications
What you bring to the role:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in HR
- Recruitment experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products and ability to learn and adapt to changing technology utilized in role
- Experience with HRIS, ATS, and LMS preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, tenants, and CHN employees.
Pay range and compensation package - The pay range for this position is $51,800.00-$55,000,00 annually.
