What You’ll Be Doing:
- Establish and oversee the Project Management Office (PMO), defining structure, governance, and best practices.
- Develop and implement PMO policies and frameworks to ensure consistency, quality, and industry best practices.
- Assess and implement a PMO maturity model aligned with strategic goals.
- Oversee selection and implementation of project management tools and reporting systems for efficiency.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of Project Managers, Process Engineers, and Process Improvement Specialists.
- Manage hiring, training, onboarding, and professional development to build team capability.
- Train and coach team members on Lean methodologies to drive efficiency and reduce waste.
- Facilitate team meetings, coaching sessions, and skip-level discussions to ensure collaboration and accountability.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards while addressing risks.
- Lead project review meetings and provide executive-level reports and recommendations.
- Maintain dashboards and performance metrics for visibility into project execution.
- Lean Methodology & Process Optimization
- Apply Lean principles to streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Conduct process evaluations to identify improvement opportunities.
- Oversee a structured change management process, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
- Align projects with organizational objectives through collaboration with leadership and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation and contingency strategies for project success.
- Manage stakeholder expectations with clear communication and proactive issue resolution.
- Standardize and improve project management methodologies, tools, and workflows.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through feedback and process refinement.
- Regularly assess and adjust PMO strategies to align with evolving business needs.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related field
- PMP certification required
- Experience building and managing a successful PMO
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
- Minimum 15+ years experience in project management, with at least 7 years in a leadership role within a PMO
- Proven experience in both establishing and leading a PMO
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and principles
- Expertise in Lean principles and their application in project management
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to oversee multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop actionable plans
- Ability to make data-driven decisions, balancing the needs of stakeholders, risks, and the overall strategic direction of the Firm
