We are a Thermoset Plastics Molder that is looking for a setup technician with mechanical aptitude for injection, compression, and transfer molding. Ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, detail oriented, versatile individual who enjoys being involved in all aspects of a molding operation.
Job Responsibilities
- Set-up molds in machines ranging from 35 to 300 tons for injection, compression, and transfer molding.
- Process thermoset materials, perform troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.
- Operate and setup auxiliary equipment such as pre-formers, thermolaters, wheelabrators, and tumblers.
- Assist with Quality Control to address issues relating to cycle times and product quality.
- Operate fork trucks and lift trucks as necessary for production process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
May be required to perform additional duties as required by supervisor.
Job Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Experience with plastic molding
- Mechanical aptitude, and
- Ability to lift 55 pounds
PREFERRED
- Experience with thermoset molding
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
