Osmose is seeking a new Director of Project Mangement who will direct and/or performs the planning, coordinating and budgets activities concerned with the services provided by Osmose at a large or complex project(s) or program level. The assignment includes interfacing with customers and representing Osmose regarding the projects in their portfolio. The Senior Project Director participates in the conceptual development of a project(s) or program and oversees its organization, scheduling, and implementation. The Senior Project Director will work directly with the internal Osmose operations, delivery, engineering, business development and management teams and the customer to ensure the project objectives are aligned and within the contracted scope of work. This associate will manage, mentor, and develop project managers and associate project managers.
Responsibilities
- Work with Osmose Operations and Business Development Managers to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with utilities services projects.
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contracted work scope specifications.
- Represent company in customer facing project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
- Monitor and control project through administrative direction of operations and delivery resources to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Lead project reviews
- Manage project portfolio to meet company financial objectives including forecasting requirements; preparing a project budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Confer with Osmose operations management to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints, and project problems. Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
- Work with contract administrators to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the customer.
- Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, and scheduling.
- Recognize, track, manage and resolve project issues as they arise throughout the project life cycle
- Adhere to the project management process utilized by Osmose
- Lead, mentor and evaluate the performance of less-senior project managers

- Proficiency in project cost accounting required (track and reconcile revenue, cost of goods, accruals, invoiced totals)
- Mathematical Skills
- Ability to coordinate, manage and interact with multiple operations and systems engineering teams in multiple locations
- Ability to generate summary and year end project reports for internal and external distribution
- May be required to manage (1-4) direct reports
Education (if Applicable)
- BS in Business or technical degree preferred (computer science, mathematics, statistics, business or other very quantitative mathematical field)
- 5-10 years professional experience in utility or utility services industry management preferred
- 5+ years of project management experience required
- PMP certification preferred
