The Role
The Senior Manager of Logistics is responsible for managing and optimizing the transportation and storage of goods via inbound logistics, warehousing operations and fulfillment. This role presents an exciting opportunity to both oversee the Company’s global logistics operations and team while working directly with cross-functional partners and external vendors.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement a global logistics strategy to optimize transportation, storage and fulfillment
- Support the Company’s budget process, as well as analyze financial and operational reports
- Monitor and evaluate inbound and outbound logistics costs to ensure budget compliance
- Build strong relationships with reliable suppliers and customers to ensure consistent results
- Manage negotiations with inbound and outbound logistics suppliers
- Develop and monitor that all KPIs related to warehousing and logistics are maintained
- Ensure data integrity and transaction compliance to facilitate required service levels
- Supervise and drive accountability to the Company’s inbound and outbound logistics team
- Leads organizational development and growth for the inbound and outbound logistics team
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in ocean freight and warehousing management
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in end-to-end logistics management in a complex, fast-paced, multi-channel environment with team management
- Superior analytical, problem-solving skills and strategic thinking ability,
- Advanced experience using data management, analysis and visualization tools (e.g, SQL, Microsoft Excel, Domo)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal
This position is based in Westport, CT. We have a hybrid office schedule, and employees are required to be in the office 2 to 3 days per week.
We are not considering remote employees for this position.
