The Supply Chain Manager will lead the integration and enhancement of processes across sourcing, procurement, supply chain planning, and transportation/logistics. This role requires hands-on leadership, a strong strategic and tactical vision, and a commitment to executing supply chain operations with precision. The manager will champion operational excellence and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction—both internally and externally—while navigating fluctuating workloads, diverse projects, and shifting priorities. Additionally, the Supply Chain Manager will act as the primary liaison for coordinating supply chain initiatives across the broader corporate organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Set priorities and provide strategic leadership to ensure efficient procurement and timely delivery of materials and products, meeting all customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Foster and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers.
- Drive the adoption of lean supply chain principles and continuous improvement practices to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.
- Design, realign, and implement an integrated supply chain model that manages sourcing, procurement, planning/scheduling, in-plant delivery, transportation, and logistics in a cost-effective manner.
- Rapidly develop and deploy scalable supply chain operational excellence strategies, budgets, timelines, and procedures to achieve full integration and support company goals in customer satisfaction, quality, growth, on-time delivery, and profitability.
- Lead and mentor direct reports and their teams to ensure consistent performance aligned with priorities and timelines.
- Recruit, train, and inspire a team of highly skilled professionals in purchasing, planning, and logistics. Promote a high-performance culture through skill development, accountability, and a management style grounded in integrity, fairness, and organizational values.
- Develop and manage supplier KPIs and scorecards; monitor performance and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and R&D to build accurate forecasts and determine optimal inventory levels to support fulfillment and distribution strategies.
- Oversee timely procurement of materials and finished goods that meet quality specifications, competitive pricing, and performance standards.
- Continuously improve forecasting, planning, and scheduling systems to ensure accurate alignment of supply and demand.
- Provide strategic direction on raw material and finished goods management to support production efficiency and schedule adherence.
- Stay informed of global sourcing, procurement, and supply chain trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure leading-edge capabilities and business impact.
