Implementation Project Manager (Marietta, Georgia; Alpharetta, Georgia; Coral Springs, Florida; Hagerstown, Maryland)
Job Overview:
Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the financial services industry, is seeking a highly experienced and strategicImplementation Project Managerto lead large, complex enterprise client programs within our organization. Based in their Marietta, GA office (or one of their alternate on-site locations), the ideal candidate will be instrumental in executing end-to-end enterprise implementations and overseeing high-impact client projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in project/program management within the payments or merchant acquiring industry, combined with strong leadership and mentoring skills. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior management, internal cross-functional teams, and external partners to drive alignment, efficiency, and success across strategic client engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate major custom client implementations, ensuring strategic alignment across projects within a program.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking scope, milestones, risks, schedules, and resources.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Mentor and guide Program Managers, Project Managers, and Implementation Advisors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level stakeholders and clients.
- Deliver executive-level presentations and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Availability to travel to client sites for meetings as required (approx. 10–15%).
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent education/experience/military background).
- 10+ years of experience in merchant acquiring or payment processing.
- 8+ years of project/program management experience, including creation and maintenance of project plans.
- Proven track record in driving complex project implementations.
- Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Experience developing and delivering executive-level presentations.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% for client meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP or Six Sigma certifications.
- Advanced degree in Business Administration or Operations.
