In this pivotal role, you'll be the driving force behind our warehouse operations, managing the flow of goods, implementing strategic inventory systems, and fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership:
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and workflows to maximize space utilization and streamline processes.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Inventory Management:
- Establish and maintain accurate inventory control systems, conducting regular cycle counts and audits to minimize discrepancies.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movement, optimize stock levels, and generate insightful reports.
- Forecast demand and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
- Team Leadership & Safety:
- Recruit, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
- Manage warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other material handling equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and safe operation.
- Logistics & Coordination:
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Manage shipping documentation and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Work closely with customer service to resolve order discrepancies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience in warehouse management.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
