Parts Sales Representative - Construction Equipment Dealership
Reports To
The Parts Sales Representative will report to the Parts Manager.
Job Overview
We are looking for a Parts Salesperson for our Denver area location who can function well as part of a team. This person must have very effective organization and communication skills to efficiently service our customer base. This position will be responsible for assisting in Parts Sales and the purchase and stocking of repair parts and resale merchandise. We are seeking a highly motivated person with experience in construction and industrial equipment. Knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, and gas and diesel machinery is preferred.
- 40 hours per week is typical, no work on weekends aside from occasional special projects
Responsibilities and Duties
- Primary responsibility of front counter sales
- Positive communication and interaction with customers and suppliers
- Maintain vendor reference material database
- Review Parts Request Forms for complete information and Authorized Signature.
- Place orders for parts and merchandise in a timely fashion after researching for best price and delivery schedule based on customer needs.
- Generate and process Purchase Orders
- Make follow up calls as required by customers
- Determine stocking requirements as indicated by Purchase Order History and upcoming projected needs.
- Maintain stock on hand to support expected needs without overstocking.
- Provide technical support to all Global Machinery stores. This is to include, but not be limited to, item number establishment, purchase history, price, availability, product location, and product knowledge as needed.
- Provide professional and accurate communication with vendors and all levels of Global Machinery staff.
- Receive purchase orders and transfer parts and merchandise to requesting locations.
- Follow up and return incorrect materials.
- Assist in the warehouse as required.
- Maintain a neat and orderly appearance and work area.
- Abide by all Global Machinery policies including the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
- Responsible for always maintaining a safe work environment
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor or any Global Machinery Manager
Skills And Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- 2-5 years of experience repairing equipment, purchasing repair parts, or warehouse related work. Some work performed in the warehouse area requiring the use of a cart, hand truck, pallet jack, and/or forklift.
- Occasional lifting of 25 to 100 lbs.
- Ability to walk and stand on concrete surfaces for at least 4 hours per day
- Occasional exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, gas and/or fumes.
Compensation
- Hourly wage including overtime pay, based on experience and qualifications
