Position Title: Manager, Logistics
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Manager to oversee inventory control and ensure seamless inventory movement within our ERP system, Business Central. This role is responsible for managing Transfer Orders (TROs), inventory accuracy, and reconciliation, as well as receiving and allocating stock based on sales channel priorities and capacity constraints. The Logistics Manager will work closely with warehouse, operations, and finance teams to implement best inventory practices, troubleshoot discrepancies, and support VAT tax reconciliations for UK/EU parcel shipments every quarter. Additionally, this position involves conducting routine audits, managing vendor cycle counts, and performing physical inventory checks to maintain system accuracy. The Logistics Manager will also mentor and train at least one team member, ensuring the effective execution of inventory control processes. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve inventory-related challenges while optimizing processes for efficiency and accuracy. This is an on-site position based in Nashville, TN.
Objectives & Responsibilities
- Create and manage Transfer Orders (TROs) to facilitate seamless inventory movement within our ERP system, Business Central.
- Ensure inventory accuracy in the ERP system through real-time updates and reconciliation.
- Receive inventory into the ERP system, Business Dynamics, ensuring availability for allocation and distribution.
- Accurately allocate and distribute inventory based on stock levels, sales channel priorities, and capacity constraints.
- Conduct routine audits to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies in open purchase orders with vendors.
- Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to monitor stock levels and implement best inventory practices.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to drive informed decision-making and enhance process improvements.
- Support quarterly and year-end vendor cycle counts, as well as physical inventory audits, to ensure system accuracy.
- Quarterly, reconcile parcel shipments to the UK/EU made through UPS World Ship by requesting and collecting documentation from UPS to support the Finance team in VAT tax reconciliations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve inventory-related issues within the ERP system or discrepancies with vendors, escalating when necessary.
- Manage and mentor a team member by providing guidance, training, and support in inventory control processes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- 1+ years of experience in inventory control, logistics, or a related role.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Experience managing or mentoring team members in logistics or inventory control.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to inventory management.
