Supply Chain Manager

Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in supply chain management, Operations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management, with a strong focus on import/export operations and international logistics.
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier development, supplier negotiations, supply chain management, and inventory optimization.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data insights to drive purchasing performance improvements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of global trade regulations, customs compliance, and tariff classifications.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and vendor management capabilities.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software.
- Deep understanding of supply chain concepts, inventory management principles, and forecasting methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, particularly in MRP logic and inventory optimization.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and people skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
- Preferred APICS certification.
Responsibilities:
- Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure product availability, timely deliveries, and favorable pricing. Lead contract negotiations to secure optimal terms and conditions.
- Inventory Optimization: Oversee inventory management across all distribution centers to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize stock outs, and prevent excess or obsolete inventory. Balance product availability with cost efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of buyers, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and resources to execute their responsibilities effectively.
- Purchasing Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to enhance purchasing processes, reduce lead times, and optimize costs, particularly in the context of large overseas shipments.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as product availability, supplier performance, and inventory turnover. Leverage data insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Data Analysis: Utilize tools such as the Slim4 planning system and Power BI to monitor purchasing trends, supplier performance, and inventory levels, ensuring data-driven decision-making in procurement operations.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards while implementing the best practices to improve efficiency and cost savings.
- Problem Resolution: Proactively address supply chain challenges, including long lead times, overseas supplier delays, and other potential disruptions, minimizing the impact on operations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the merchandising team to align inventory levels with purchasing strategies. Collaborate with marketing, sales, finance, and logistics to ensure cohesive information flow and shared business objectives.
