Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain business processes for all semi-finished and finished goods warehouses, ensuring that all items are stored, maintained, retrieved, packaged, labelled and processed for delivery in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- Develops strategies that support the planning, and directing of the activities and staff involved in the safe and economical movement of inbound and outbound freight.
- Develops and drives strategies involving both systems and processes, that align to the needs of the business, supported by the broader Operations team.
- Use of root cause analysis techniques to solve Quality and Logistics problems occurring locally and globally.
- Serve as the primary interface between Warehouse and other Operations functions to quickly resolve critical issues and find resolution to drive good customer performance.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to ensure an effective flow of information between the Warehouse, other Operations functions, and across all Warehouse shifts.
- Own and drive the strategy for implementing Lean tools to eliminate waste, ensuring the consistent deployment of 5S principles across all Warehouse areas.
- Lead the strategy for identifying resource needs and driving improvements to existing systems and processes to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
- Spearhead the development of Warehouse leaders and personnel through mentorship, strategic use of tools, and targeted training initiatives.
- Drive the implementation of Leaders Standard Work for Supervisors and other People Leader Managers to ensure consistent leadership practices and operational efficiency.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- BS Degree required, preferably in a Business Administration/Logistics preferred
- 8+ years in a leadership position in production, warehousing, shipping, receiving, etc.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong process development and management skills to frame and outline actions needed for improvement.
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills, in addition to proven problem solving and analytical thinking skills required
- Demonstrated experience in directing, planning and scheduling work for themselves and a team
- Demonstrated ability to develop and coach others
- Selected candidate must be highly self-motivated, while capable of influencing others at all levels in the organization
- Must have the ability to effectively manage a heavy workload and maintain efficiency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- In depth working knowledge of SAP required
- LEAN or Six Sigma certification, with track record of multiple successful projects, desired
- Preference given to candidates with experience in export/compliance procedures (TSCA, RoHS, WEEE, DOT, etc.)
