Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Retail, as the Regional Director you will be responsible for overseeing the performance and operations of 19+ retail stores. This role is critical in driving growth, optimizing store performance, ensuring a top-tier customer experience, and leading a team of talented store managers. In addition to retail operations, you will also manage the IT, facilities, and marketing departments. You will collaborate with multiple departments and senior leadership to implement company-wide initiatives while focusing on store-specific goals.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Monitor store performance through regular visits, audits, and reviews.
- Recruit, train, and mentor store managers to build a high-performing team.
- Oversee the IT, facilities, and marketing departments to ensure seamless operations and consistent brand messaging.
- Develop and implement region-specific strategies to drive sales growth and profitability.
- Analyze regional trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform business decisions.
- Ensure consistent implementation of company policies, procedures, and standards across all stores.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and employee engagement.
- Analyze financial reports and identify areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement by consistently evaluating individual store Profit and Loss statements.
- Champion a customer-centric culture across all stores in the region by implementing initiatives to improve guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Monitor inventory levels and product assortments to meet guest demand and optimize sales.
- Ensure all store leadership understand and follow the company’s compliance protocols in accordance with state, federal and local laws.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in retail management, with at least 5 years in a regional or multi-store leadership role.
- Experience with $100 million or more in revenue
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a focus on cultivating results through consistent feedback
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial reports
- Proficient at Microsoft Office
- Required in state travel at least 75% of the time for store visits and meetings
- Cross functional collaborator, as well as independently motivated
- Must be 21 years of age and able to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in the cannabis industry or a highly regulated retail environment
