Role Overview
We're seeking an Order Operations Manager to build and scale our order fulfillment systems. In this role, you'll design processes that ensure orders flow smoothly from purchase to delivery, regardless of whether items ship from third-party vendors, partner facilities, or our warehouses. You'll be the architect of an invisible fulfillment network that delivers exceptional customer experiences.
What You'll Do
- Design Fulfillment Workflows: Create and document processes for order routing, vendor communications, and exception handling
- Build Vendor Management Systems: Establish protocols to ensure vendors meet fulfillment SLAs and quality standards
- Implement Fulfillment Technology: Configure order management tools and develop automation to reduce manual processes
- Manage Order Exceptions: Develop protocols for addressing fulfillment failures, inventory mismatches, and other edge cases
- Measure Performance: Build dashboards tracking fulfillment speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
- Scale Operations: Continuously evolve processes as order volume grows and fulfillment network expands

- Process Architect: You excel at designing systems that transform chaos into order
- Operations Expert: You have 2-4 years experience in logistics, fulfillment, or marketplace operations
- Problem Solver: You enjoy diagnosing complex operational issues and implementing elegant solutions
- Detail-Oriented: You understand that small errors in fulfillment create major customer satisfaction issues
- Tech-Savvy: You're comfortable configuring order management systems and analyzing operational data
- Startup Minded: You thrive in environments where you build systems from scratch rather than managing established processes
Experience We Value
- Prior work in marketplace operations, eCommerce fulfillment, or supply chain
- Experience with vendor/supplier management and performance tracking
- Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory management, or order management tools
- Background in building or improving operational workflows
- Knowledge of building materials industry (helpful but not required)
