CNC Machinist
Experienced Machinist with both manual and CNC machine experience is required, someone who can work with minimal supervision maintain tight tolerances while building a variety of complex parts.
The goal is to produce parts within allotted standard times and on budget to achieve department and company goals. Will work at times in machine assembly or fabrication as a general member of the production team. Required to work mindfully and with safety and quality as two of our top standards.
Essential Functions:
· Programs and runs Dual Spindle Lathe, CNC Lathes & Mills and Manual Lathes, Mills, and Press Brake
· Machinist will program the machines that we use to cut, shape, and finish the parts.
· You are responsible for interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints and then creating accurate and detailed shop drawings for the production floor, exploding the parts for programming and machining.
· You may work regularly with Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD, Mastercam, or similar programming software programs.
· Sets up and completes assigned daily projects
· Performs the fabrication and machining of given projects according to drawing specifications
· Mentors and leads other team members within the Fabrication Department.
· CNC machine operations include production Dual Spindle Lathe, CNC Lathes & Mills and Manual Lathes, Mills, and Press Brake on with specific machine programming and adjustments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs all Machine Operator functions.
- Performs frequent and complex CNC/ mill and lathe setup/operations to produce quality parts based on provided specifications.
- Performs setup/operations on specialty machines.
- Recommends program changes and submits program change requests to programmers/engineers.
- Performs preventive maintenance such as inspecting/replacing fluid levels; inspecting/replacing filters and belts; performing visual inspection.
- Solves tooling issues by identifying the productivity of tooling, evaluating tooling performance, and evaluating new tooling requirements.
- Performs routine dimensional and visual inspection of product per procedure, specification or print using basic measuring equipment (calipers, micrometer, scale, and indicators)
- Maintains safety practices related to machining; (wear protective clothing, eye glasses, as required).
- Must be able to read, interpret and analyze blueprints and drawings.
- Advanced mathematics skills are a plus
- Ability to read and write and communicate well
- Ability to anticipate problems and look for solutions.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Participates in set up reduction/process improvement teams to increase process efficiencies.
- Capable of running a variety of machines including **DMG Mori NLX 2500 Dual Spindle Lathe, HAAS HL2 CNC, HAAS TL1, ECOMILL 1100N, Trumpf TRUBEND 3100**
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
- 2+ years of related experience
- Proven excellent skills with computers and file systems;
- Enjoys fast pace and rapidly changing environment;
- Ability to work on several projects at once, requiring strong time management skills;
- Handles stress in a professional manner, demonstrates the ability to get along with others; Flexible and willing to help others as needs and tasks change;
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with a command of English grammar and punctuation;
Starting Compensation:
- $22.00 - $28.00 per hour DOE
- + 8% Shift Diff.

- Monday throughdf Thursday - 3 day weekend each week!
- Some overtime may be required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
