About the role: We are seeking a hands-on, execution-drivenSupply Chain Manager who thrives on getting things done. This is not a high-level executive role—it’s for someone who is in the trenches, optimizing, problem-solving, and making an impact daily. If you’re someone who knows how to manage inbound inventory, streamline distribution, optimize demand planning, and cut supply chain inefficiencies—we want you.
Your focus will be on reducing costs, improving warehouse & logistics efficiency, and ensuring seamless inventory flow while managing imported goods, inward stock planning, and demand forecasting aligned with seasonality.
About the roles and responsibilities:
Inventory & Demand Planning- Forecast demand accurately by analyzing historical sales, market trends, and seasonality.
- Plan inward inventory flow to ensure stock levels meet demand without overstocking or running shortages.
- Work with sales, ops, and finance teams to develop rolling inventory forecasts that align with growth targets.
- Identify seasonal inventory shifts and plan accordingly for high/low demand periods.
Imports & Inbound Inventory Management- Manage import schedules to ensure timely arrival of goods while optimizing duties, tariffs, and logistics costs.
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers & freight forwarders to avoid shipment delays.
- Optimize container utilization to lower landed costs per unit.
- Work with customs brokers to ensure smooth clearance and compliance.
3PL & Warehouse Management- Work closely with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to reduce storage, handling, and fulfillment costs.
- Optimize warehouse stocking strategies to minimize carrying costs and improve order fulfillment speed.
- Monitor and improve inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, and real-time tracking.
Order Fulfillment & Logistics Execution- Streamline order processing to reduce delays and improve delivery timelines.
- Optimize picking, packing, and shipping workflows for speed and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate better rates with carriers to cut shipping costs and improve delivery efficiency.
- Implement efficient routing strategies for outbound shipments.
Supplier & Vendor Optimization- Negotiate smarter with suppliers for better pricing, payment terms, and MOQ adjustments.
- Ensure just-in-time (JIT) inventory flow without compromising fulfillment speed.
- Optimize supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost control.
Freight & Cost Management- Reduce freight costs by optimizing container loading, shipment consolidation, and carrier selection.
- Work with logistics partners to lower warehousing and transportation expenses.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings in last-mile delivery and distribution.
Process & Technology Improvement- Leverage ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, etc.), WMS, and analytics tools to track inventory performance.
- Implement data-driven decision-making for better demand planning and supply chain efficiency.
- Identify inefficiencies in supply chain operations and deploy lean, automated processes to improve productivity.
Returns & Reverse Logistics- Implement cost-effective return management systems to reduce losses.
- Optimize reverse logistics workflows to streamline customer returns and restocking.
Preferred Qualifications- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in supply chain, logistics, or inventory management.
- Experience in e-commerce, distribution, or manufacturing supply chains.
- Prior experience working with 3PLs, freight carriers, and import/export operations.
- Strong skills in Excel, ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, etc.), and logistics software.
- Background in lean supply chain practices, cost reduction strategies, and process automation.
