Position Overview
We are looking for a highly organized, detail obsessed and technically savvy Project Manager to lead the charge on production for live events, brand activations, B2B experiences, and everything in between. This role is all about execution. You thrive in bringing ideas to life through smart planning, sharp coordination, and seamless delivery. As Project Manager, you'll oversee every stage of the production process which includes managing timelines, budgets, crews, and equipment with precision. You’ll be the go-to for vendor communication, technical production logistics, and on-the-ground coordination, ensuring that every experience runs on time, on budget, and beyond expectations. We're looking for someone who not only thrives in a fast paced environment but also brings deep knowledge of current and emerging technologies, strong vendor relationships, and a proven ability to anticipate the needs of complex, high touch productions. What You’ll Do:
Technical Production
- Oversee all technical aspects of live events, including AV, lighting, staging, rigging, and scenic, and decor.
- Collaborate with outside Technical Directors, engineers, designers and CAD artists to translate creative concepts into executable plans.
- Conduct and collaborate technical site surveys and advance venues to ensure compatibility with production requirements and overall safety.
- Create, review and approve technical schematics, run-of-shows, cue sheets, production schedules, and have the ability to call a show Que to Que.
Logistics & Operations
- Develop and manage comprehensive production timelines and load-in/load-out schedules for all vendors and crew.
- Source and coordinate with vendors, rental houses, freight and labor companies.
- Manage all on-site logistics, including load-ins, tech rehearsals, strike, and all transportation/shipping.
- Ensure all health, safety, permitting, and compliance regulations are met, both venue and city levels.
Budget & Resource Management
- Collaborate with producers to build and manage production budgets; track expenses and reconcile actuals post-event.
- Negotiate vendor contracts and labor rates to ensure cost-effective solutions and remain on budget.
- Maintain accurate documentation while multi-tasking; vendor contacts, production notes, while sharing with all team members.
Team & Communication
- Act as primary point of contact for production-related communications between internal teams, clients, venues, and vendors.
- Provide support for proposals, pitches and RFPs, ensuring clear alignment with client needs and objectives.
- Lead production crew and on-site teams with clear direction and must be calm under pressure.
- Troubleshoot real-time issues during pre-production and live execution.

Experience You Bring:
- 6+ years of experience in event production, preferably in live or hybrid events.
- Strong technical understanding of AV systems, lighting, staging, and broadcast/streaming technologies.
- Proven track record managing complex logistics and vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and time-management skills.
- Proficient in production software/tools (e.g., Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Airtable, Smartsheet, Show Flow).
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience working with major brand clients or high-profile events.
- Background in theatrical production, touring, concert production, or exhibits
- Familiarity with union labor and city permitting processes.
- Vectorworks/CAD experience is a plus
Hiring Range: $70,000 - $115,000
