Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Test Instrumentation and Data Acquisition Engineer (Entry Level). In this role, you will:
• Duties will include assisting the certified test conductor and test engineers with the performance of component and subsystem environmental testing.
• Work closely with technical experts and test support staff meeting needs of the programs.
• Prepare work instructions for instrumentation installation and checkout; lead technician team efforts to execute instrumentation tasks.
• Configure, operate and troubleshoot data acquisition systems and automated test equipment, review and co-author test procedures, and assist with preparing and executing Technical Interchange Meetings and pre-test meetings.
• Support test discrepancy resolution and other troubleshooting activities. Prepare and disseminate test results, reports, and analysis.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of test lab operations, basic principles of operations of transducers, and and Data analysis and manipulation in Matlab and/or Excel. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Exposure to test lab operations. Interest in configuration and application of electrical test equipment such as bench top power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, data acquisition and control systems, and video systems or related.
• Exposure to basic principles of operation of transducers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Data analysis and manipulation in Matlab and/or Excel.
• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:• Experience with mechanical test, test instrumentation, and signal conditioning.
• Familiarity with Wheatstone bridge sensors and bridge circuitry.
• Familiarity with sensors including accelerometers, strain gages, thermocouples, RTDs, load cells, microphones.
• Experience with signal processing and data manipulation in Matlab; structured programming experience desired (e.g. visual basic python Matlab).
• Familiarity with automated test equipment and some form of data acquisition control software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Personal flexibility; adaptability to technical challenges and schedule changes

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $57,500 - $101,430. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
