Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Exercise and promote safety
- Receive and verifies accuracy of incoming shipments
- Complete receiving paperwork using computerized system
- Sort and place materials on racks, shelves or in bins
- Mark materials with identifying information
- Pull and distribute materials, tools, or other stock items in order to fill technician requests
- Prepare items for shipment, as required
- Maintain accurate inventory records through the use of a computerized inventory system
- Complete requisition forms to order additional equipment and supplies
- Utilize material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum Experience: None
- Certifications Required: Obtained during orientation
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively listen and communicate ideas and thoughts to others; excellent written and oral communication skills required; able to assimilate ideas originated by others
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
- Reasoning Skills: Ability to carry out and communicate written and/or oral instructions
- Physical Abilities: Regularly required to stand, walk and use hands; must be able to lift 50 pounds at any time during his/her shift; the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
Working Conditions
Safety
All UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries. Employee must understand the PPE and wear it properly.
