We are looking for a highly motivated AI/ML Research Intern with a strong research background in AI and Classical Machine Learning algorithms. This role involves conducting cutting-edge AI research, developing novel algorithms, and contributing to high-impact AI projects. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of statistical modeling, deep learning architectures, and large-scale ML systems, with a proven track record of research contributions.
Position: Artificial Intelligence Researcher / ML Researcher - Internship
Location:Ridgewood NJ (Hybrid Work)
Duration : Internship 20 hours Per week

- Conduct advanced research in AI and Classical ML, with a focus on developing novel models, optimizing architectures, and improving efficiency.
- Design and implement state-of-the-art deep learning models (Transformers, Diffusion Models, GANs, VAEs, etc.) and evaluate them on large-scale datasets.
- Investigate zero-shot, few-shot learning, and self-supervised learning techniques for diverse AI applications.
- Apply traditional ML techniques (SVMs, Decision Trees, XGBoost, etc.) to structured and unstructured data tasks, focusing on model interpretability and efficiency.
- Develop new training paradigms, optimization techniques, and hyperparameter tuning strategies to enhance model performance.
- Conduct literature reviews to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Publish research findings in top-tier AI/ML conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ACL, etc.) and contribute to open-source AI initiatives.
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate research outcomes into real-world AI products and applications.
- Document findings, prepare technical reports, and present research insights to internal teams and external collaborators.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven research background in AI/ML, demonstrated through published papers, preprints (arXiv), patents, or open-source contributions.
- Strong understanding of deep learning architectures, representation learning, probabilistic modeling, and optimization techniques.
- Expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, and Scikit-learn.
- Knowledge on Javascript / React Js is highly preffered.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets, data augmentation, and feature engineering.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in scientific computing libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, etc.).
- Knowledge of MLOps, cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure), and distributed computing frameworks (Ray, Dask, Spark) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and ability to work independently on complex research problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multi-modal AI, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or knowledge distillation.
- Strong theoretical foundation in Bayesian learning, graph neural networks (GNNs), and self-supervised learning techniques.
- Familiarity with mathematical optimization, convex optimization, and numerical computing methods.
- Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or high-impact research publications in leading AI/ML conferences.
