Role: Associate Scientist II

Location: St. Paul, MN

Duration: 7 Months

Summary:

We are looking for an Associate Scientist to join our Materials Science team. You will support testing and analysis of materials used in medical devices. This role involves working in a lab, running tests, analyzing data, and helping project teams with product development and problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

Perform materials testing and analysis using lab equipment.
Support scientists and engineers with product development and failure investigations.
Keep accurate records and write reports following company and regulatory standards.
Work both independently and as part of a team.

Skills:

Experience with some or all of the following:

Surface Analysis:

Microscopy, SEM/EDS, FIB, Confocal Microscopy

Spectroscopy:

FTIR, Raman

Thermal Analysis:

DSC, TGA, TMA, Rheology

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related field – or equivalent experience.
2–5 years of hands-on lab experience in materials testing.
Good communication skills – written and verbal.
Team player who can also work independently.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
