YouTube Manager – Responsibilities & Expectations
About The Lauren Ashtyn Collection:
The Lauren Ashtyn Collection is a leader in luxury hair and beauty, dedicated to empowering women and enhancing confidence through premium products and services. As we grow, we are seeking a YouTube Manager and Content Developer to oversee social media project initiatives, ensuring efficient workflows, accountability, and successful outcomes.
Content Creation & Posting
- Long-Form Content: Post a minimum of 5 long-form videos per week on YouTube, ensuring high-quality, engaging, and informative content aligned with TLAC’s brand and customer interests. (This number is subject to change)
- Short-Form Content: Post a minimum of 10 YouTube Shorts per week, repurposing content from long-form videos and other marketing assets. (This number is subject to change)
SEO & Optimization
- Write SEO-optimized captions for long-form videos, integrating relevant keywords to improve visibility and engagement.
- Ensure video descriptions include links to TLAC’s blog posts, driving traffic between YouTube and the website.
- Utilize tags, titles, thumbnails, and metadata to maximize video reach and discoverability.
- Monitor YouTube analytics to refine strategy based on performance insights.
Filming & Editing
- Film and edit engaging and professional-quality videos featuring TLAC products, tutorials, customer testimonials, behind-the-scenes, and brand-related content.
- Ensure consistency in branding, aesthetics, and messaging across all video content.
- Keep up with trends in beauty, hair toppers, wigs, and social media video marketing.
- Optimize videos for mobile and desktop viewing with captions, graphics, and engaging visuals.
Collaboration & Travel
- Work from TLAC’s office in Greer as needed to film content.
- Travel up to 20% of the time to assist with filming at pop-up salons, industry events, and influencer collaborations throughout the country. Travel expenses will be compensated.
- Coordinate with the marketing and content teams to align video strategy with overall brand initiatives.
- Engage with TLAC’s community and audience, responding to comments and fostering conversation on YouTube.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track video performance metrics (watch time, engagement, click-through rate, audience retention) and adjust strategy accordingly.
- Provide weekly reports on channel growth, insights, and recommendations for improvement.
- Stay updated on YouTube algorithm changes and implement best practices for growth.
Additional Responsibilities (Temporary)
📌 At this time, while first coming into the role, we would like this person to also manage TLAC’s Facebook and TikTok accounts until we find a dedicated team member for those platforms. Once a designated person is hired, we will transition those responsibilities to them, and this role will then focus exclusively on YouTube.
Requirements
- Proven experience in YouTube management, video editing, and content creation.
- Expertise in YouTube SEO, analytics, and growth strategies.
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Strong storytelling, branding, and marketing skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within TLAC’s creative team.
- Willingness to travel as needed for filming at events and TLAC locations.
