Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Logistics Analyst located in Kansas City, MO. As a Domestic Operations Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in the day-to-day movement of freight within the U.S. Working as part of a fast-paced, detail-driven team, you’ll be responsible for coordinating domestic shipments, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries, and maintaining excellent communication with carriers, clients, and internal teams.
This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and a solid understanding of domestic transportation modes including LTL, FTL, and expedited services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate domestic freight shipments from origin to destination, including Airfreight, Charters, Hot-Shots, LTL, FTL, and time-sensitive freight
- Book carriers, negotiate rates, and ensure proper documentation is in place
- Communicate with clients, carriers, and internal teams to provide real-time updates and resolve any transit issues
- Track and trace shipments proactively and provide status updates
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company policies, and regulatory guidelines
- Handle shipment exceptions, delays, or damages professionally and efficiently
- Assist with billing and documentation as needed
- Maintain accurate records in TMS and other internal systems
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong multitasking abilities and excellent time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
