We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking VP or Senior Director of Public Relations to work closely with the Chief Content Officer and executive team to grow and scale the PR team and the company as a whole.
Position Overview:
As a Public Relations Director at LeadCoverage, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing our PR strategy to enhance reputation, visibility, and brand equity of LeadCoverage clients in the marketplace. You will work closely with the Chief Content Officer to develop and implement strategic communications initiatives that foster strong relationships with media, influencers, stakeholders, and key partners. This position will be expected to manage a team of 10 PR/Communications professionals to deliver our strategies and processes throughout the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive public relations strategy to elevate the brand awareness and thought leadership of LeadCoverage clients within the global, national, vertical and supply chain/logistics industry media
- Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key industry journalists, bloggers, influencers, and media outlets to secure top-tier coverage for LeadCoverage clients
- Brand Messaging: Ensure consistent messaging across all PR materials, including press releases, media kits, articles, blogs, and thought leadership content, aligning with specific clients' brand voice and corporate objectives.
- People Management: Manage a team of ten communications professionals to ensure that all members of the PR/AR team are following LeadCoverage processes and philosophies across the client base.
- Executive Visibility: Collaborate with senior leadership to create opportunities for executive thought leadership, including speaking engagements, panel participation, media interviews, and contributed content.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, content, and sales teams to ensure alignment in messaging and cross-functional execution of key initiatives.
- Metrics & Reporting: Track, measure, and report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns, media coverage, and brand reputation efforts, using analytics to continuously improve strategy and tactics.
- Budget & Resource Management: Manage the PR department’s budget, optimizing resource allocation to maximize ROI on campaigns and initiatives.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, media relations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in B2B PR, with a strong understanding of the marketing, sales, or technology sectors.
- Experience in B2B analyst relations, specific to Gartner and similar firms
- Proven track record of securing media placements in top-tier outlets and managing public relations campaigns for fast-growing companies.
- Experience working with C-suite executives and senior leadership teams to drive PR strategy and messaging.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus.

- Media Savvy: Deep understanding of the media landscape, including the ability to pitch, build relationships, and secure coverage across both traditional and digital media channels.
- Strategic Thinker: Demonstrated ability to think strategically, develop long-term PR plans, and execute on a vision for brand reputation and market presence.
- Crisis Management: Strong experience in managing PR during high-pressure situations, including issues related to corporate reputation, product failures, or customer concerns.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team, work cross-functionally with other departments, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to measure the success of PR efforts using media monitoring tools, data analytics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Creativity & Innovation: Forward-thinking with the ability to develop new and creative PR campaigns, leveraging emerging trends and digital platforms.
