Our client in the personal care space is hiring a COO/Head of Ops!
Role Overview:
The COO/Director of Operations will serve as a strategic and operational partner to the CEO, driving efficiency, scalability, and cross-functional alignment. This leader will oversee product, supply chain, customer experience, and retail expansion, ensuring the company’s daily operations align with its long-term vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with the CEO to define and execute business strategies.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive growth and operational excellence.
Operational Management
- Oversee product development, supply chain, customer experience, and retail operations.
- Manage relationships with manufacturing and 3PL partners, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Implement operational processes to support the transition from D2C to wholesale and retail channels, including Amazon.
Financial Oversight
- Drive P&L management and financial planning to meet business objectives.
- Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability.
Growth Initiatives
- Spearhead retail and wholesale expansion while maintaining D2C excellence.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Team Leadership
- Manage and inspire a remote team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Lead with a hands-on approach while empowering team members to excel in their roles.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 7-10 years of experience in consumer products, operations, and strategic leadership roles.
- Proven expertise in P&L management, supply chain optimization, and retail/wholesale growth.
- Strong business acumen with a background in business development, sales, finance, or consulting.
- Hands-on experience in D2C and subscription business models; Amazon channel expertise is a
- plus.
- Familiarity with personal care or related CPG industries, with a track record of scaling a brand.
- Proactive, adaptable, and thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
Preferred Experience:
- MBA or equivalent strategic and operational credentials.
- Experience with high-growth brands (e.g., Olive & June, Salt And Stone, or Capari).
- Successful navigation of growth phases from $10M to $30M in revenue.
