Overview: Anew Transport is actively seeking a disciplined, detail-oriented
Dispatch Manager to lead our dispatch operations in Pevely, MO. This individual will be entrusted with the strategic and day-to-day oversight of our dispatch team, ensuring efficient routing, regulatory compliance, and operational fluidity across over-the-road (OTR) trucking and hauling functions.
The successful candidate will be an experienced logistics professional with a solid grasp of
DOT compliance,
claims resolution, and
employee scheduling, as well as the ability to produce and interpret
data-driven reports that support informed decision-making. This is a high-visibility role that requires leadership, integrity, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely execution of delivery schedules and optimal resource utilization
- Supervise, train, and support dispatch personnel, enforcing performance standards and promoting a culture of operational excellence
- Monitor and manage employee scheduling, shift coverage, and time-off requests to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times
- Ensure accurate entry and tracking of PTO requests, verifying that all absences are properly documented and communicated
- Pull and analyze call logs, dispatch data, and system reports to identify trends, optimize performance, and address operational gaps
- Compile and distribute routine reporting on key dispatch metrics, driver activity, response times, service outcomes, and compliance adherence
- Enforce adherence to DOT regulations, company safety policies, and all applicable transportation laws
- Investigate and resolve claims involving cargo loss/damage, accidents, and service disputes in coordination with internal departments and external partners
- Coordinate with operations, customer service, and drivers to maintain clear communication, minimize service disruptions, and ensure client satisfaction
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements in dispatch procedures, personnel coverage, and reporting accuracy
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, or business preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in dispatch or fleet coordination within OTR trucking or heavy hauling; supervisory experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of DOT compliance, safety standards, and claims processing in a transportation setting
- Proficient in the use of dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for reporting
- Experience managing scheduling, coverage, and personnel availability in a 24/7 or dynamic operational environment
- Strong reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to extract actionable insights from operational data
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Proven leadership with a collaborative mindset and the ability to hold teams accountable
